Recommend some high quality, adult-targeted anime?
DISCLAIMER – by adult, I do not mean pornographic. God knows I’d have no problem finding that.
What I AM interested in is some brilliant, high quality and intellectually stimulating anime. I have three episodes left in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and I absolutely love it. The universe is brilliant, and it deals with interesting social and philosophical issues. I have also seen ( and read!) Akira, and every Miyazaki film, and loved them. Cowboy Bebop and Trigun were fairly interesting, but less “deep” than Ghost in the Shell, in my opinion.
Although charming in their way, I am not interested in anime-styled cartoons ( like avatar/naruto) or anything particularly childish. I’ll be watching these in mixed company with people in late teens and early twenties.
Anyway, do you have any brilliant anime you’d like to share? I’m looking for great directing, complex and interesting plots, and awesome settings. Please and thanks!
Evangelion 2.22 is an anime movie,a briliant anime for adults with deep storyline,psychological themed and packed with great action to boot
the is 2010 movie so the quality isnt to be worried about
